A Hot Springs woman being sought on a felony warrant after she allegedly took a vehicle on a test drive last month and failed to return it turned herself in Tuesday.

Kimberly Ann Littleton, 31, who lists an Ira Street address, turned herself in just before noon and was charged with theft of property, punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

She remained in custody Wednesday in lieu of $3,500 bond, and is set to appear Aug. 21 in Garland County District Court.

According to the affidavit, a representative of Parker Motors, 3211 Albert

Pike, filed a complaint with the Garland County Sheriff’s Department alleging that a woman, later identified as Littleton, and a man came to the dealership on July 26 to test drive a beige 2007 Nissan Maxima valued at $5,800, but never returned it.

He said Littleton gave him a copy of her driver’s license and left the car lot with the man around 3:15 p.m. At around 5 p.m., the car dealership representative called the sheriff’s department and reported that they never returned the vehicle.

On July 27, the representative reported the car was found abandoned on Bull Bayou Road. Deputy J.T. Dodge recovered the vehicle, noting it was in good condition and no evidence was left in the vehicle.

The dealership representative said he had security footage of both suspects at his business, and that the driver’s license Littleton provided actually belonged to the male suspect’s ex-wife.

The complainant stated the pair did not have permission to keep the vehicle past 5 p.m., and they never called stating the location of the vehicle.
