ROYAL — Gayle Kidder, 76, of Royal, passed away Thursday, Aug. 17, 2017.

She was born Jan. 20, 1941, to LaVerne McDaniel Harbuck and the late Ike Harbuck Sr. in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Gayle was a cosmetolog­ist for 30 years and a florist for

15 years, she loved gardening, especially canning, which was a big hit with anyone enjoying the peppers, pickles or whatever she canned, her decorating and floral designing were also outstandin­g. She was known as a practical joker and a patriotic American. She loved our country and was an avid supporter of our veterans, especially the Vietnam Veterans Organizati­on of Hot Springs. She was a huge supporter of the Annual R& R for the Vietnam veterans. She was well known for her generosity and was always willing to help anyone in need. She had a great sense of humor and the love of her life was her family.

She was predecease­d by her father, Ike Harbuck Sr.; two daughters, Lori Black and Cindy Leopold; one son, Mark Morris; one sister, Shirley McDaniel; one grandson, Jamie Morris; and her stepfather, Hilliard Melton.

Survivors include her husband of 24 years, Mike Kidder; two daughters, Lisa Kay Morris and Amy Lee (Richard) Brown; son-in-law, Tim Leopold; her mother, LaVerne Melton; three brothers, Ike Harbuck Jr., Bobby Harbuck and Jay Melton; one sister, Sue (Ray) Hornbaker; an aunt, Oleta Fierro; grandchild­ren, Elisabeth Ann, Joey, Tony, Michael and Gary; many great-grandchild­ren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hot Springs Funeral Home.
