Bonnie Bean

Bonnie Bean, 77, of Hot Springs, died Sept. 30, 2017.

Margaret Dunbar

Margaret “Tish” Dunbar, born Nov. 22, 1964, in Hot Springs, Ark., entered the gates of Heaven Sept. 28, 2017.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Lester and Margaret Martin.

Survivors include her husband, Mike Dunbar; daughters, Niki Tallent (James), Allyson Dunbar (Fiance: Kevin Moore) and Emily Dunbar; son, Steven Travis; grandchild­ren, Mark, Steven, Austin, Ethan and Justice, Kayden, Madison, Zoey, Maddox and Tavon.

Tish was a loving wife, mother and grandmothe­r. She was devoted to her family and a loyal friend. Tish loved life and the many joys in it. She enjoyed cooking for the ones she loved, fishing, snorkeling, and sight-seeing. One of her many loves were her cats Ewok, Trixie and Lacey.

Tish is now dancing with the angels. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be 3-5 p.m. Sunday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home.

A celebratio­n of Tish’s life will be 2 p.m. Monday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor John McCallum officiatin­g.

Burial will follow at Crestview Cemetery.

Pallbearer­s include Courtney Bond, James Tallent, Steven Tallent and Kevin Moore.

Eldon N. Freeman

Eldon N. Freeman, 85, Malvern, passed, Sept. 29, 2017.

Born Aug. 15, 1932. He was a United States Army Veteran and retired from Acme Brick after 40 years.

Survived by his wife Myrtle (Johnson) Freeman; sons, Jimmy Freeman (Donna), Daniel and Ronnie Freeman; daughter, June (Ronald) Weems, of Traskwood; sister, Novella Holder (David), Clois Coots, eleven grandchild­ren, twenty-five great-grandchild­ren and one great-great-granddaugh­ter; many friends; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation 5-7 p.m. today at Regency Funeral Home Chapel.

Don Johnson

Don Johnson, 78, of Hot Springs, died Sept. 30, 2017.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home.

A Celebratio­n of Don’s life will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Grand Avenue United Methodist Church.

Paul William “Bill” Mascho Jr. passed away Sept. 28, 2017, shortly after midnight surrounded by family.

Bill was born in Hot Springs to Paul and Julia Mascho. Bill graduated from Parkview High School in Little Rock before attending the University of Arkansas and later for UCA.

Outgoing and a friend to everyone he met, his laugh and love could fill a room. Bill loved to fish, and like most good fishermen, Bill could tell a good story. He also would put those stories and love on paper, writing poems and gifting them on special occasions.

LeAnn Mascho, Bill’s wife and companion of 24 years, will cherish the memories of their travels, Bill’s giant laugh and all the beautiful, quiet moments she shared with her husband and best friend. Bill’s parents, Paul and Julia, will remember their son as an amazing athlete, full of kindness and with a mind of his own. His only brother, Stephen, learned a lot of “what not to do” on their many adventures while trying to keep up with light-hearted Bill. Bill will also be missed by his large extended family, friends from his many years at the Highway Department and the Post Office and his “Happy Catholic” church family at St. Mary of the Springs.

A rosary will take place at 6 p.m. on Monday at Gross Funeral Home, followed by a visitation from 6:30-8 pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at St. Mary’s of the Springs Catholic Church at 100 Central Ave, Hot Springs, AR.

Pallbearer­s will include Mike Mascho, Brent Gray, Lance Gray, Stacey Watson and John Watson.

Betty A. Nicholas

Betty Ann Nicholas, 78, of Hot Springs, died Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday at Cedar Glades Baptist Church for all who loved her with visitation beforehand. The burial will be at Kilgore Cemetery in Jessievill­e.

He was born Jan. 16, 1957, in Hot Springs, to Max Sr. and Dell (Fincher) Nichols Lucas. Eddy was a proud volunteer for the Fountain Lake Volunteer Fire Department.

He is preceded in death by his father, and his step-father, Bob Lucas.

Loving survivors include his wife, Debbie (Buxton) Nichols; sons, Jason, Dillon, Luke and Adam; brothers, Max Nichols (Shawana) and Rodney Nichols (Sandy); and four grandchild­ren.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home with Pastor Phillip Millard officiatin­g.

Jeanne Reynolds, 94, of Hot Springs, passed away peacefully and with grace on Sept. 22, 2017.

She was born in Aberdeen, Scotland, on April 16, 1923, to the late Joseph and Mary Helen Donald.

When she was a child, Jeanne’s family relocated to England. There, in the turmoil of World War II, Jeanne met the love of her life. Everything became clearer when Jeanne met Joe Daniel Reynolds, an American soldier. Jeanne and Joe met at a dance in 1943 and married the November of that same year.

She would later make her way to the United States with their oldest child aboard the Queen Mary with other war brides and their children.

Jeanne was an avid reader, a talented seamstress and a wonderful cook who loved to entertain.

Above all, Jeanne was an incredible mother and a dedicated, loving wife. She and her husband lived frugally to ensure all three of their children would receive a college education.

Meeting her in Heaven is her husband of over 50 beautiful years, Joe Daniel Reynolds; and sisters, Sheila Wright and Pat Johnston.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Joe Donald Reynolds (Lynn), Helen Louise Wujek (Dan), David Ian Reynolds (Jose Martinez); grandchild­ren, John Brian McLean (Megan), Allison Gindi (Jeff); great-grandchild­ren, Dylan Powell, Jacob McLean and Claire McLean.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.

Kevin Paul Smith, 51, of Hot Springs was called to Heaven to be with our Lord on Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2017.

He was born in Hot Springs on July 3, 1966, to Larry and Nancy Smith.

Kevin was an exceptiona­l husband, father, son, grandfathe­r, brother and friend. The greatest love in his life was his love for his family. He loved spending time with them camping, fishing or cheering on the Razorbacks.

Meeting Kevin in Heaven is his mother, Nancy Smith; grandson, Elijah Jackson; and nephew, Aaron Strickland.

Left to cherish his memory is wife and the love of his life, Trina Smith; his father, Larry Smith; children, Whitney Williams, Taylor Jackson and Christophe­r Smith; grandchild­ren, Dominic Hughes, London Griffin, Loralie Griffin, Eden Jackson, Israel Jackson; brothers, Mike Smith (Rita), Greg Smith (Heather); sister, Stacey Strickland (Bennie) and several nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.

Pallbearer­s will be Mike Smith, Greg Smith, Christophe­r Smith, Bennie Strickland, Jim Kingery, Eddie Daugherty, Mike Davis and Allen Geurin.

Honorary pallbearer­s are the staff of ICU at the Little Rock Veteran’s Hospital.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. today in the chapel of Gross Funeral Home. Funeral service will also take place at 11 a.m. Monday at Gross Funeral Home, with Brother George Lynch officiatin­g. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Crestview Cemetery.

Maxine Ward

Maxine Ward, 86, of Mountain Pine, died Wednesday, Sept.

27, 2017.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Mountain Pine First Assembly of God, with the Rev. Homer LaRue officiatin­g.

Interment will be in Mount Tabor Cemetery, near Glenwood, under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs.

Visitation will be held from

6-8 p.m. today evening at the funeral home.
