Hot Water Hills Music and Arts Festival set for this weekend
The seventh annual Hot Water Hills Music and Arts Festival is set for Friday and Saturday in downtown Hot Springs.
The family friendly event showcases a full range of music in a variety of styles, quality handcrafted art, free workshops, food, craft beer, and places for children to frolic.
Itchy-O, a 32-piece masked marching band from Denver, is set to roll into town with Taiko drums, dancing Chinese Dragon and Tesla coil in tow. Its irresistibly rhythmic barrage of percussive and electronic instruments worn on the backs of the costumed performers blurs the lines between audience and artists as the band coils through and immerses the crowd, a news release said.
Walker Lukens headlines Friday night, showing off his latest release, “Tell it to the Judge.” Billboard Magazine recently praised the Austin-based artist for his inventive blending of genres with his balance of soul and sass, the release said. Dazz and Brie, Vodi, Claire Morales and Ryan Sauders and the ASMSA Folk Music Class share the stage on opening night.
Nervous Curtains, Couch Jackets, May the Peace of the Sea Be with You, and a collection of Arkansas songwriters take the stage on Saturday beginning at 5 p.m.
