Leonard Bragg Sr.

MALVERN — Leonard “Jack” Bragg Sr., of Malvern, Ark., was born on April 5, 1916, in Prescott, Ark., to proud parents Shanie Harris Bragg and Dudley Bragg. On Monday, Oct. 2, 2017, Mr. Jack Bragg passed away after 101 extraordin­ary years.

In 1940, Mr. Bragg moved to Malvern and became a member of Greater New Hope Baptist Church in 1941. He was drafted into the United States Army during World War II in 1942. After being stationed at Fort Polk, La., he served in Europe and was stationed in Okinawa, Japan, when World War II ended. He was given an honorable discharge in 1945. He worked for Alcoa for several years.

He was preceded in death by his aforementi­oned parents and children: Leonard Bragg Jr., Patricia Joyce Morgan and Robbie Fudge Yarborough; five sisters: Myrtle Bragg Vanhook, Maybelle Bragg Fudge, Marie Bragg Lassister, Tobitha Bragg Childs and Mildred Bragg Johnson; two brothers: Leroy Bragg and George Bragg.

Left to cherish his memory are his grandchild­ren which he raised: Ronald “Doc” Morgan Jr., Randall “Budden” Morgan (Yolanda) and Reagan “Baby Girl” Smith (Kareem), all of Malvern; 17 great-grandchild­ren, one great-great-grandchild, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mr. Jack’s home going celebratio­n will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017, at Greater New Hope Baptist Church, in Malvern. His earthly body will be laid to rest at Masonic Cemetery, Malvern. There will be a visitation at the church from 5-7 p.m. today.

Clifton Coleman Jr.

Clifton Coleman Jr., 66, of Hot Springs, died Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2017.

The service will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Apostolic Faith Tabernacle with the Rev. Dennis Anderson officiatin­g.

Interment will be in Crestview Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. today at the church.

Arrangemen­ts are by Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs.

Louis R. Costello

HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE — Louis R. Costello, 90, of Hot Springs Village, passed away on Oct. 11, 2017.

He was born on May 12, 1927, in Chicago, Ill., to the late Louis R. Costello and Maria (Maratino) Costello.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Jack Martin Costello.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Rita Costello; son, Curt Costello; daughter, Lurita Procaccio (Tony); daughter-in-law, Lynn Costello; grandchild­ren, Kelly, Matthew, Elise (Ryan), Gregory, Jaclyn and Eric; and great-granddaugh­ter, Kora.

Louis was an amazing husband, father and grandfathe­r and will be greatly missed.

Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, in Hot Springs Village, with Father Bill Elser officiatin­g.

HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE — Jo Ann Mikell, 88, of Hot Springs Village, died Oct. 11, 2017.

Ava N.H. O’Bryan

The memorial service for Ava Nelle Hunt O’Bryan, 79, of Hot Springs, who died Sunday, Oct. 8, 2017, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Piney Baptist Church with Brothers Larry Catcher and Mike Kemper officiatin­g.

The service for Patricia Peterson, of Hot Springs, who died Oct. 4, 2017, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at The Center for Spiritual Oneness.

Geneva L. Tart-Cheek

PEARCY — Geneva L. Tart-Cheek, 73, of Pearcy, Ark., passed away Oct. 10, 2017.

She was born Oct. 9, 1944, in Hot Springs, to Cecil and Lula (Powers) Tart.

Geneva was preceded in death by her parents; son, John Cheek II; and siblings, Eugene Tart, Doyle Tart, Linda Tart and Bee Adams.

Survivors include her husband, John Cheek; daughter, Debra Cheek-Wells (John); godson, Tom Goines; brothers, Ervin Tart, Carl Tart; grandchild­ren, Amber Cheek, Sydney Grisham, Victoria Wells, Courtney and Misty Wells; great-grandchild­ren, Braxton, Lewis and Bailey; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home with a celebratio­n of Geneva’s life immediatel­y following at 2 p.m. with Brorhwe Wade Overturf officiatin­g.

Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

William H. Trott

PEARCY — The service for William “Bill” H. Trott, 74, of Pearcy, who died Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017, will be at 2 p.m. today in Davis-Smith Funeral Home chapel, Hot Springs, with the Rev. Dennis Anderson officiatin­g.

Interment will be in Morning Star Cemetery.

Pallbearer­s will be David Falcetti, Bryan Trott, Donnie Lee, Donnie Trott, Johnny Johnson and Glenn Hill.

Honorary pallbearer­s are Bob Edwards, all the craftsmen of the Hot Springs area and Skip Kirk.
