We have a problem Dear editor:

“Houston, we have a problem.” Today that should read; “America, we have a problem.” No one is at the helm of state to deal with the disaster we’re living with now. We’re living in a state of denial expecting our leaders to take care of us and see that we return from the “moon” as our world comes crashing down around our shoulders.

Those days are over where we could rely on our government to keep us safe. We have allowed ourselves to be led into the complacent belief that our leaders, being Americans, would not sink our ship of state. We are living in the quagmire of international corporations that have no loyalty to anyone but the bottom line. We are a cost loss/benefit depending on whether you can produce or consume.

Trump has made it clear as glass that he will dismantle anything that doesn’t put money in the pockets of his billionaire buddies. He has made it crystal clear that he prefers “white” males to people of color or the opposite sex. He has indiscriminately and without malice of forethought set out to dismantle our country because he can.

No one dares challenge his actions. Congress sits idly by as his “crew” of cretins charge our country for flights across the country in military jets or Air Force One or Two to honeymoons, solar eclipses, campaign fundraisers and golf trips to private Trump clubs.

Citizens across the country and in our territories are hurting from lack of services and Trump cuts Medicaid, Social Security (which is self funding) and Medicare. They are blamed for being poor managers and, therefore, responsible for their own lack of services and infrastructure. Help is held up as Trump’s shipping buddies get their private companies loaded with their products at our cost to deliver to the hurricane-stricken cities and countries that are American citizens and we are responsible for.

We have an election coming up in another year and I can guarantee it will be more of the same, as billions will be poured into the campaigns of those that will continue business as usual. People will be suckered into believing black is white and vice versa. They will vote the same cretins back into office because the crook you know is better than the crook you don’t.

Some will just not vote because it doesn’t matter, we’re just going to have to live with it. They will feel no change because they are struggling to keep food on the table and a roof over their head. The change will come slowly as their handicapped children, aged parents and any unfortunate disaster strikes in the coming years and there is nothing to stop their free fall to the bottom.

God bless America. Oh, please don’t kneel for the anthem, it’s a sign of disrespect to our country and flag.

Trump’s final solution Dear editor:

Trump’s prejudiced hatred for President Obama has resulted in his petty destructive actions of everything President Obama has achieved. Trump promoted the ridicules nonsense that President Obama was not born in America, a lie he perpetrated for many years.

Trump’s deportation crusade against the DACA dreamers is blatantly discriminating against people from Latin America. These young “dreamers” trusted the government and now they are being stabbed in the back by Trump’s petty actions.

Trump has no qualms about splitting-up Christian families from Latin America as part of his “Herr Gropenfuhrer Volks-gerichtshof” (master groper kangaroo court) agenda.

Some so-called Christians have sold their souls to the Trump ideology system and are now supporting the persecution of fellow Christians from Latin America. So now we have hypocritical Christians persecuting other Christians with their Trump crusade. These Trump Crusaders are “CINOS” (Christians in name only).

On the matter of “taking a knee,” Arnold Friberg’s oil on canvas painting, “Praying at Valley Forge,” shows President George Washington “taking a knee.”
