HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE — More than a year ago, the Good Samaritan Society started seeking a new owner/ operator of Good Samaritan Society – Simply Kids Preschool and Childcare in Hot Springs Village. The society announced that the Boys & Girls Clubs of Saline County will become the new owners of the child care center effective Nov.1.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Saline County is wellknown in the Hot Springs Village community for their work with youth character and leadership development, educational support and career planning, health and lifeskill enrichment, and fostering work in the creative arts.

Taking over the ownership and operations of the preschool and child care program will allow them to expand their work and mission in a new capacity.

“This decision is in the best interest for the community’s child care services and to allow the Good Samaritan Society – Hot Springs Village to focus on its core business of senior care and services. However, it is important to the Good Samaritan Society that public child care continue to be available for the families of Hot Springs Village,” states the press release.

“We are thankful for the support and service of our dedicated employees, family members and members of the community who have been involved with Good Samaritan Society – Simply Kids Preschool and Childcare,” said Corinne White, administrator at Good Samaritan Society – Hot Springs Village. “We appreciate the Boys & Girls Clubs of Saline County for their commitment to providing child care services for local families.”

This change of ownership affects the childcare center only, while all other service lines currently under the Good Samaritan Society ownership will remain as is.
