First Hot Springs Village Fall Festival set for Saturday

HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE — The first Village Fall Fest is set for 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Grove Park, 1105 DeSoto Blvd.

In case of rain, the event will be moved to Ponce de Leon Center, 1101 DeSoto Blvd.

This free, family friendly event will offer a variety of fun activities, entertainm­ent, food and craft vendors, and demonstrat­ing artisans.

Activities will include a splash attack, strongman challenge, inflatable basketball, dartboard, cupcake walk, face painting, photo booth, train rides, bubble station, pumpkin patch, rock wall, mechanical bull, enchanted trail ride, and fortune telling.

Entertainm­ent will feature Mike Bearden from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Justin the Juggler at 1 p.m., Roy Rivers from 2-4 p.m., and flash songs by Crystal Chimes, Treble in the Village and Fun City Chorus throughout the day. Plus, Hot Springs Village Brushstrok­es and the Village Art Club will demonstrat­e their crafts, and 30 artisans will display and sell their wares.

Food and beverages may be purchased from Pop’s Kettle Korn, Ray’s Sweet Snow Shaved Ice, Garret Concession­s, Garret Funnel Cakes, and the Basecamp Beer Garden.

This event is sponsored by Christ of the Hills United Methodist Church, Terminix, Arvest Bank, and the Hot Springs Village Property Owners’ Associatio­n Recreation Department. Volunteers from the following organizati­ons will support many of the activities: Boomers Rock, Christ Lutheran Church, Community of Joy Lutheran, HSV Concerts Associatio­n, HSV Fire Department, HSV First Assembly of God, Girls Night Out, Mountainsi­de United Methodist Church, RE/Max of Hot Springs Village, Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Village Players, Village United Methodist Church, and the Hot Springs Village Property Owners’ Associatio­n.

This event is free for HSV property owners and sponsored guests. Food, beverage, and artisan crafts will be available for purchase. Parking will be available at the Ponce de Leon Center.
