Three-day workshop on ‘more awakened life’
The “Three Steps to a More Awakened Life” workshop will be presented by the Rev. Myron
Jones, of Lake Charles, La.,
Nov. 3-5 at the
Center for Spiritual Oneness,
300 Oaklawn. Participants will look at the three steps that will get people to that happy place and then practice some simple processes that will help them to achieve their goal. Bring a notebook, pen or pencil.
A Meet and Greet/Introduction to the Steps will be held at 6 p.m. Friday. The workshop will continue from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 4 with an Ubuntu potluck at 6 p.m. Jones will be the featured speaker at the 10:30 a.m. Nov. 5 Sunday service.
Jones is an ordained ministerial counselor and has been a student of A Course in Miracles since 1981. She facilitates a weekly ACIM study group, conducts ACIM workshops on special relationships, and has taught classes for ACIM children. Jones is published and gives sermons as a visiting minister.

St. Mark Baptist hosts trunk or treat Tuesday
St. Mark Baptist Church, 542 Crescent Ave., will sponsor a Sunday school celebration, “Hallelujah Trunk or Treat,” from 5-6 p.m. Tuesday. Bring the children for treats and fun in a safe environment. Everyone is welcome.
