34th an­nual Christ­mas golf scram­ble set

Hot Springs Coun­try Club will be the site of Na­tional Park Med­i­cal Cen­ter’s 34th An­nual Christ­mas Scram­ble Golf Tour­na­ment on Fri­day, Dec. 1.

Reg­is­tra­tion, spon­sored by Ar­vest Bank, will be­gin at 8:30 a.m. with a 10:30 a.m. shot­gun start. Sin­gle play­ers may regis­ter for $125 and teams for $500.

All pro­ceeds from the event will go di­rectly to Kamo’s Kids Foun­da­tion, which was es­tab­lished as a non­profit in Fe­bru­ary 2009 in mem­ory of Kameron “Kamo” Hale.

“We are so ap­pre­cia­tive of our part­ner­ship with Na­tional Park Med­i­cal Cen­ter and the many com­pa­nies and golfers that sup­port our en­deavor to make life a lit­tle bit bet­ter for the youth in our com­mu­nity,” said Dr. Kevin Hale in a news re­lease.

The Foun­da­tion ac­tively works with area or­ga­ni­za­tions, school of­fi­cials, the ju­ve­nile court sys­tem and in­di­vid­u­als to help un­der­served chil­dren. The Foun­da­tion does not al­lo­cate funds for ad­min­is­tra­tive pur­poses, en­sur­ing that ev­ery cent re­ceived is put to work help­ing chil­dren in need.

In ad­di­tion to serv­ing day to day special needs for un­der­served chil­dren in all of the Gar­land County school dis­tricts, the Foun­da­tion also pro­vides col­lege schol­ar­ships, un­der­writes the an­nual Fields of Faith min­istry project and works with the Gar­land County Ju­ve­nile court sys­tem to pro­vide in­cen­tives for kids to com­plete the pro­gram.

The tour­na­ment will in­clude a player gift spon­sored by Cit­i­zens Bank, Break­fast spon­sored by Oua­chita Re­gional Anes­the­sia, On Course Lunch will be pro­vided spon­sored by LHC Group, Warm­ing Tent spon­sored by Di­a­mond Bank, silent auc­tion, great door prizes, bev­er­ages by Arkansas Bev­er­age Sales, and prizes by All Amer­i­can Clas­sics for the first, sec­ond and third place teams in both flights. The tour­na­ment will also have sev­eral con­tests, in­clud­ing Long­est Drive by Ra­zor­back Camper Sales, Clos­est to the Hole by Health­star Physi­cians and a Golf Ball Drop by Sur­vival Flight-10.
