NP photo club plans gathering

The National Park Photograph­y Club will meet at the Garland County Library, on Malvern Avenue, at 5: 30 p. m. Tuesday. There will be a short business meeting to plan the

2018 activities and members who wish to attend the year-end dinner party at the Colorado Grill on Dec. 5 can sign up. To join the gathering, please attend this meeting.

There will be a showing of photos that have been winners in competitio­ns. Participan­ts will discuss how they can rise to a higher level of image-making and improve their “eye” for capturing subjects in the most creative way possible.

Members are asked to submit their entries for the January

2018 competitio­n in the Gulf States Camera Club Council’s contest. The topics for submission are Pictorial Digital col- or and monochrome images, Photojourn­alism Digital images, color and mono, and PJ color and monochrome prints up to 11 inches by 14 inches. Digital images with pixel size of 1024 wide by 768 high may be submitted at the meeting on a thumb drive or emailed to Sharp71909@gmail. com no later than today. Prints should be brought to the meeting.

Please attend this meeting to finish off the current year with images for competitio­n.

Anyone who is familiar with their camera and understand­s the basic principles of good photograph­y is welcome to attend and see what this group is all about. Call 501-226-5570 for informatio­n about meetings, competitio­ns and upcoming events. Guests are welcome.
