Drug Task Force board set to meet Tuesday

The 18th Judicial District East Drug Task Force Board of Directors will meet at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Garland County Sheriff’s Department Conference Room, 525 Ouachita Ave.

NGCR Water District holds special meeting

The North Garland County Regional Water District will hold a special board meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday at 138 Cedar Mountain Circle. Items on the agenda will be bids received for repairing Tank No. 4 and the yearly auditors report.

Habitat has applicatio­n seminary Saturday

Garland County Habitat for Humanity will host an applicatio­n seminar at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Christian Life Center of Oaklawn Baptist Church, 200 Oaklawn St.

Individual­s who plan to apply for a Habitat house should attend this one-hour seminar to receive an applicatio­n. Applicants must be residents of Garland County and meet minimum and maximum income requiremen­ts. All program requiremen­ts will be explained. Call ahead for child care or special services to 623-5600.

School board meetings set for Tuesday, Wednesday

The Lakeside School Board will hold its monthly meeting Tuesday at 5 p.m. in the Lakeside High School Technology Lab, 2871 Malvern Ave. The board will also meet for a workshop earlier in the day between noon and 4 p.m. in the conference room of the administra­tion building.

The National Park College Board of Trustees will hold its November regular meeting on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. in the board room of the Gerald Fisher Campus Center, 101 College Drive.

Blood drives scheduled throughout coming week

Arkansas Blood Institute will conduct blood drives at the following locations and times during the week:

• Tuesday — 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., College of the Ouachitas great room, Malvern.

• Thursday — 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., Baptist Health Medical Center cafeteria, Arkadelphi­a.

• Friday — Mount Ida Elementary Kids Care gym, 430 Ballpark Road.

• Sunday — 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., First Lutheran Church Family Life Center, 105 Village Road.

Donors must be at least 16 years old and have a photo I.D. Donors will receive a festive long-sleeve reindeer holiday T-shirt and refreshmen­ts. All blood types are needed, especially Types O negative and A negative during this peak season. Blood donations support the two acute-care hospitals and 30 others in Arkansas.
