Georgia A. Braughton, 84, of Hot Springs, died December

1, 2017.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home. Funeral services will be

1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Ernest Godwin

JESSIEVILL­E — Ernest Godwin, 91, of Jessievill­e, passed away Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017.

He was born Jan. 18, 1926, to the late Vadie Breashers Godwin and Marion Godwin in Avant, Ark.

Ernest worked for Weyerhaeus­er for many years and was of the Baptist faith. He was predecease­d by his parents; eight brothers, Orville, Thurman, Lonzo, Nathan, George, Bob, Daryl and Elza Godwin; and one sister, Arrie May Winberly.

Survivors include his wife, Jodie Godwin; one sister, LaVerne Winberly; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. Monday at Avant Church with services to follow at 11 a.m. with Brother Jimmy Scott officiatin­g. Burial will follow at Avant Cemetery.

Pallbearer­s are Steve Brumley, Michael Alexander, Tommy Farman, Shawn Alexander, Don Godwin and David Nobbit.

Honorary pallbearer­s are Chris and Erma Beck, Jerry Scroggins and Kindred Hospice.

Tom Hunt

HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE — Tom Hunt, 68, of Hot Springs Village, Ark., passed away peacefully at home on Thursday morning, Nov. 30, 2017.

He was born April 7, 1949, in King City, Calif., to Lloyd and Miriam Garrison Hunt.

Tom attended Acalanes High School and Oregon State University. After graduation, Tom went into the Navy where he trained as a pilot on the A4 and

A6 Intruder. He also trained as a Landing Signal Officer. After the Navy, Tom transition­ed into a career as a pilot for American Airlines. Tom started his career at American in 1979, and retired in 2008.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Judith Lynn Williams and Donna Kaye Cohick.

He is survived by his wife of

37 years, Sandy Wilson Hunt; niece, Deanna Hankin (David) and son, Bobby; niece, Debra Williams (Steven Moran) and sons, Keegan and Hayden. He is also survived by sister-in-law, Ginny Quinlan (John) and nephew, Daniel, niece, Bridget Horn (Aaron) and great-niece, Emerson and great-nephews, Caden and Cooper; brother-in-law, Grady Wilson (Sheree), nephews, Tyler and Ryan (Haleigh).

Celebratio­n of Life will be 1 p.m. Dec. 11 at at Christ of the Hills Church, Hot Springs Village, Ark.

Bobby Kitchens

POINT CEDAR — Bobby “Pops” Kitchens, 66, of Point Cedar, Ark., passed away Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2017.

He was born April 20, 1951, in Dyce, Ark., to the late Franklin and Louis Bryant Kitchens.

He was predecease­d by his parents; wife, Gracie Kitchens; grandson, Toby Allen Henthorn; four brothers and one sisters.

Survivors include his children, Jeff (Dianne) Kitchens, Heather (Bill Todd) Henthorn, Crystal (Amy Farley) Kitchens, Bobbie (Rusty) Mayberry; brothers, Sidney Kitchens, Mike Kitchens; sisters, Ella Foshee, Joyce Garner, Wanda Moore; eight grandchild­ren and six great-grandchild­ren.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Grants Chapel Cemetery, Bonnerdale, Ark.

Pallbearer­s are Jarred Henthorn, Brock Henthorn, Rusty Mayberry, Chris Worley, Wes Howe, David Kitchens, Scott Farley and Alex Stewart.

Honorary pallbearer­s are Jeff Kitchens, Cameron Kitchens, O.C. Kitchens and Bill Todd.

Martha Lipsey

Martha Lipsey, 71, of Hot Springs, died Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017.

She was born on March 6,

1946, in Glendale, Calif., the daughter of George Harry Sheppard and Nancy Maglean Hales Sheppard. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Monty Utterback; and one granddaugh­ter, Emily Anne Mohl.

She was affectiona­lly known as “Miss Marty.”

Martha is survived by her husband, William E. Lipsey of Hot Springs; two sons and daughters-in-law, Skip and Vicki Mohl of Pryor, Okla., and Greg and Lisa Mohl of Hot Springs; three daughters and two sonsin-law, Audrey and Michael Treat of Heber Springs, Tammy and Jerry Rapier of Little Rock and Lori Utterback of Tulare, Calif.; twenty-six grandchild­ren; nine great-grandchild­ren; one brother and sister-in-law, Amoes Harry and Sylvia Sheppard of N.C.; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of wonderful friends.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs with Bro. Joe Thompson officiatin­g.

Interment will be in the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery at 11 a.m. Wednesday.

Visitation will be held from

10 a.m. until service time on Tuesday.

Anna A. Mottram

Anna Adams Mottram, 96, of Hot Springs, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2017.

She was born Dec. 10, 1920, to the late Mary Gavin Moran and Thomas Moran in New York, N.Y.

Anna worked as a supervisor with New York Life Insurance Company for many years and was of the Catholic faith. She was predecease­d by her husbands, James Adams Sr. and Howard Mottram Jr.; two sons, James Adams Jr. and Bill Adams; three brothers, Thomas Moran, Martin Moran and Bernard Moran; and one sister, Joan Moran Smith.

Survivors include one son, Dennis (Peg) Adams, of Pearcy; one daughter, Deborah Adams, of Woodside, N.Y.; one sister, Theresa Coffey, of Houston, Texas; six grandchild­ren and eight great-grandchild­ren.

Anna will be buried at Long Island National Cemetery in Farmingdal­e, N.Y., with the father of her children, James Adams Sr.

Doris E.N. O’Neal

Doris Euna (Norwood) O’Neal, affectiona­tely known by her loved ones as “Nana,” passed away peacefully the evening of Nov. 21, 2017, in Prescott Valley, Ariz.

Doris was born on Oct. 4, 1925, in Mulhall, Okla., the second of seven children of Virgil A. and Euna E. (Bryan) Norwood. She was raised in Arkansas, graduated from Malvern High School and was employed by ACME Brick Company, where she met her beloved husband Bill. They were married on Aug. 30, 1947, and were together for 69 years before Bill passed away earlier this year. When her two children were young, Doris and Bill moved to Sacramento, Calif. There Doris worked at Sears for 27 years and retired as a telecommun­ication supervisor in 1988.

In earlier years, Doris was active in her church and really enjoyed the Women’s Bible Study; she was also a member of Eastern Star. After retiring, Doris and Bill moved back to Arkansas, where she served her community as a volunteer at the local hospital and for a time as a substitute school teacher. They moved closer to her daughter and son-in law in New Hampshire and eventually moved with them to Arizona. She particular­ly enjoyed baking, gardening, shopping and spoiling her grandkids, always with a smile and a sweet Southern drawl. In her last few months, Doris was at the most wonderful care home we could ever ask for, Northstar in Prescott Valley.

She is survived by two children: William “Butch” Henry O’Neal Jr., Susan “Kay” (Ron) Todd; five grandchild­ren: Jen O’Neal, Travis (Jennifer) Todd, Amanda, Matthew (Brenda) Todd, Ashley (Daniel) Michaelis; her brothers, Dr. Clint (Annette) Norwood, Wendell (Germaine) Norwood; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is reunited with our Lord in Heaven; her husband Bill; one brother: Virgil A.; and three sisters: Nancy Sherwin, Helen Jarchow and Mary Hall.

Friends and family are welcome to attend the celebratio­n of life gathering to be held at the home of Kay and Ron Todd at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 4, 2017. A private inurnment for family will be held at the Prescott National Cemetery.
