Four arrested for narcotics
Four people were arrested on felony charges
Sunday night after
Hot Springs police stopped their vehicle searching for a wanted person and allegedly located various narcotics and drug paraphernalia.
Casey Ray Sheets, 38, who lists a Bellringer Circle address, Amanda D. Danaher, 35, who lists a Central Avenue address, Randi Denise Wright,
30, who lists a Trap Mountain Road address, and Bobby E. Hannon, 58, who lists a Crystal Mountain Road address, were taken into custody around 7 p.m. in the parking lot of Walmart, 1601 Albert Pike Road, and each charged with felony possession of drug paraphernalia, punishable by up to six years in prison, and possession of Alprazolam with purpose to deliver.
Danaher faces additional felony charges for possession of meth with purpose to deliver, punishable by up to 20 years and possession of
Soma, punishable by up to six years.
Wright also faces additional felony charges of possession of morphine with purpose to deliver and possession of Suboxone, each punishable by up to 10 years.
Sheets and Hannon remained in custody Monday in lieu of bonds set at $3,500, while Wright’s bond is set at $12,000 and Danaher’s is set at $12,500. The were scheduled to appear in Garland County District
Court for a plea and arraignment on
Monday.
According to the probable cause affidavit, Officer Wes Smith was patrolling the area near Walmart on
Albert Pike, searching for a gray Ford
F-150 pickup Sheets had allegedly been seen in minutes before, when he reportedly located a vehicle matching the description and conducted a traffic stop in the Walmart’s parking lot.
Sheets, who was wanted in Garland County on felony warrants, was sitting in the front passenger
seat. Hannon was the driver, and Danaher and Wright were passengers in the vehicle.
Hannon reportedly consented to Smith searching the vehicle. While conducting the search, Smith reportedly located a backpack containing a syringe filled with narcotics, a sunglasses case containing two additional narcotic filled syringes, a package containing nine suspected Alprazolam pills and a box containing a metal spoon with narcotic residue and several used syringes.
Inside Danaher’s purse,
Smith allegedly located a metal case containing approximately 5.5 grams of meth and a package of four syringes. A second purse reportedly belonging to Wright allegedly contained a medication bottle with two morphine pills inside.
Once at the detention center, officers allegedly located two Carisprodol pills and a Suboxone Sublingual film inside Wright’s pockets.
• A Hot Springs man was arrested Sunday after he was reportedly seen outside a residence holding a firearm and then fled from responding police officers.
Tre’Von Davontre Williams, 21, who lists a Higdon Ferry Road address, was taken into custody in the 500 block of Higdon Ferry Road at around 12:40 p.m. and charged with felony counts of simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, punishable by up to life in prison, possession of cocaine with purpose to deliver, possession of marijuana with purpose to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and unauthorized use of another persons property to facilitate a crime and a misdemeanor count of fleeing.
He remained in custody Monday in lieu of a zero bond and appeared in Garland County District Court on Monday.
According to the probable cause affidavit, officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Higdon Ferry Road in reference to a disturbance involving a man holding a handgun in front of a residence.
When Officer Justin Bradberry arrived, he observed a 2013 maroon Chrysler 200 leaving the scene and attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the vehicle reportedly sped off.
The driver allegedly failed to yield at numerous stop signs before finally coming to a stop inside the parking lot of an apartment complex. The driver, identified as Williams, was taken into custody without further incident.
Officers reportedly located $120 in cash and two cellphones in Williams’ pockets. Inside the vehicle, they allegedly located approximately 27.5 grams of marijuana, 4.5 grams of suspected cocaine, a small digital scale, a blunt and empty bag. A firearm was also allegedly located underneath the driver’s seat.
• A Hot Springs woman was arrested late Sunday after officers allegedly located drugs and firearms during a routine traffic stop.
Katie Nicole Woodall, 23, who lists an Aster Lane address, was taken into custody at around
11 p.m. and charged with felony counts of simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, punishable by up to life in prison, possession of meth with purpose to deliver, punishable by up to 10 years, and possession of drug paraphernalia, punishable by up to six years.
She remained in custody Monday in lieu of a zero bond and later appeared in Garland County District Court.
According to the affidavit, Officer Jason Greene reportedly observed a green Honda SUV run a stop sign at the intersection of Henry and Gaines streets.
A traffic stop was initiated, and the driver, identified as Woodall, was asked if there was anything illegal in the vehicle, Woodall reportedly became hesitant and stated she did not know. However, she did allegedly state there was a loaded handgun in the glove compartment registered to her.
She reportedly consented to a search of the vehicle and Greene reportedly located a small bag containing a white residue, a 9-mm handgun, a glass pipe commonly used to smoke meth and a 0.3 gram of meth inside a sealed container.
