Company changes name, location
Texamerican Food Blending Inc. announced Friday that it has changed its name to Flavor Source Inc. and moved its primary facility to 174 Sylvan Hills Road in Hot Springs.
“This move includes stateof-the-art equipment, new processes and more jobs for Hot Springs,” The Greater Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce said in a news release on Friday.
A ribbon cutting was held Friday “to share our excitement and company growth,” the release said.
Formerly located at 2360 E. Grand Ave., Texamerican Food Blending Inc. is a privately held corporation with its corporate office in Hot Springs, according to its website.
The business originally began with blending, breadings and batters and has grown to include spices and seasonings, all types of bakery mixes, gluten-free mixes, rice blends, even drink mixes, according to the website.

Construction work to widen Highway 70 in Garland and Saline counties will continue to require multiple lane closures, Arkansas Department of Transportation officials said in a news release Friday.
Continuing today through Dec. 16, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., crews will perform paving work on the Highway 70 frontage road, which will require flagging operations and lane closures. Eastbound and westbound lanes of the road will alternately be closed, beginning at the junction of Highway 70 and continuing east for one-eighth of a mile.
Beginning Monday through Dec. 16, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., crews will be paving along Highway 70 in multiple locations, requiring flaggers and lane closures.
Eastbound and westbound lanes will alternately be closed east and west of Crossroads Road, east and west of Highway 128, and beginning at County Road 1381 and ending half a mile east.
Motorists are asked to consider alternate routes during construction, including Highway 270, and should be cautious when traveling in the work zone at reduced speeds. Speeding fines double within the work zone.
