HORATIO — Mr. Harry Preaus Broadwell, age 79, a resident of Horatio, Ark., died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2017, at his home.

He was born July 7, 1938, in Parsons, Kan. He was the owner of Harrywell Inc. in Hot Springs, Ark., and a member of the Church of Christ.

Mr. Broadwell was preceded in death by his parents, Sam Rainey and Ollie B. Good Broadwell.

He is survived by his wife, Jerry Ann Smith Broadwell; one daughter and son-in-law, Aimee and Rev. Scott Gilbreth, of Dumas, Ark.; one son and daughter-in-law, Harry Broadwell Jr. and Lisa Broadwell, of Maumelle, Ark.; one sister, Anita Clark, of Nashville, Ark.; two grandchild­ren, Makayla Gilbreth and Ty Parker Gilbreth; and five stepchildr­en, Pollyanna Smith, of Horatio, Brenda Kramer, of De Queen, Ark., Kenneth Carroll, of Fayettevil­le, Ark., Barbara Batchelor, of Kansas City, Kan., and J.F. Morris, of Winter Garden, Fla.; a number of nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Broadwell will be held at 11 a.m. today, Dec. 16, 2017, in the Wilkerson Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Scott Gilbreth and Tony Stowers officiatin­g. Burial will follow in the Redmen Cemetery in De Queen.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.
