Leonard J. Ruszel

Leonard J. Ruszel, 88, of Hot Springs, died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2017.

He was born May 8, 1929, in Chicago, the son of John Ruszel and Anna Kunisz Ruszel. He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Virginia Wilk Ruszel; his son, Leonard S. Ruszel; his parents and three sisters, Stella, Wanda and Helen.

He was a lifelong resident of Chicago, but in his later years made his home in Hot Springs. He had many cherished friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include three sons, Paul Ruszel and Jeanette of Chicago, David Ruszel and Christine of Lake Leelanau, Mich., and Robert Ruszel of Kingsley, Mich.; one daughter, Angela Ruszel and Chris of Wauekegan, Ill.; five grandchildren, Leonard M. Ruszel, Sarah Ruszel, Jasen Jonas, Lucas Ruszel and Sasha Ruszel; three great-grandchildren, Aurora Jonas, Abigal Jonas and Maverick Indiana Jonas; his daughter-in-law, Cathy Ruszel of Chicago; two nephews, Eugene and Terance Dembrowski; numerous extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

A celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel Hot Springs with Pastor Bobby Thornton officiating.

Raquel Villalta

Raquel Villalta, 94, of Hot Springs, died Dec. 12, 2017.

A visitation will be held from 6–8 p.m. Monday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at CaruthHale Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mario Oliva officiating. Burial will be in Crestview Cemetery.
