Did you know? Every part of the aluminum can is recyclable, you don’t have to prepare it in any way, other than to rinse it out. Be the Earth Angel of your block and encourage your neighbors to participat­e, help the elderly to get their recycling to the curb, take the initiative to start something great.

Due to the upcoming Christmas holiday, Solid Waste collection for residentia­l garbage and recycling will be one day late, i.e. Monday’s route will be picked up on Tuesday, Tuesday’s on Wednesday, etc. Start recycling today!

Last week, Earth Angels of Hot Springs recycled: 97 pounds, aluminum cans; 3,586 pounds, newspaper; 744 pounds, corrugated cardboard; 322 pounds, plastic Nos. 1 and 2; 29,680 pounds, yard waste. A total of 17.21 tons of recyclable materials were kept out of the landfill.
