Anna Beth Burroughs, 87, of Hot Springs, died on Dec.

22, 2017. She was born in Gurdon on Oct. 1, 1930, to the late Charlie and Duena McMillan. She was predecease­d by her brother, William McMillan, and two sisters, Wilma Holdford and Charlene McMillan.

Anna married Calvin Burroughs in May of 1950. After

65 years of marriage, they have now been reunited with each other in heaven. We are certain that Calvin was eagerly waiting for her to come home so that she could start cooking one of her famous home cooked meals!

Anna worked with Calvin at Oaklawn Firestone Store, as manager of Kempner’s Ready to Wear, and at the Ru-el Shop. She enjoyed cooking, sewing for her grandchild­ren, gardening and her family.

Anna is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Ben O’Neal, and son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Debbie Burroughs; and grandchild­ren, Jennifer and Jason Atkinson, Eric and Whitney O’Neal, Allison and Ben Carroll, Ryan and Kellye O’Neal, and Lance and Emily Burroughs.

She is also survived by her sister, Martha and Jim Lockwood; brother, Eddie and Mollie McMillan; her eight great-grandsons; two great-granddaugh­ters and another baby girl due in March. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. We want to thank Hope, Jessie, and Benita for the loving care they showed to Anna. Also thanks to Arkansas Hospice and Nurse Amy for their support.

Anna was a longtime member of Oaklawn United Methodist Church, Builders Sunday School Class, Joy Sunday School Class and United Methodist Women.

Visitation will be held at Oaklawn United Methodist Church at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 26, with the service at 10 a.m. Graveside services will immediatel­y follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearer­s will be her grandsons and her nephew, Blake Lockwood.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oaklawn United Methodist Family Life Center.
