Earth Angel

-

Did you know? There are approximately 30-35 million real Christmas trees sold in North America every year. For every real Christmas tree harvested, up to three seedlings are planted in its place the following spring.

Don’t forget about recycling your Christmas tree! Christmas trees must be free of tinsel, ornaments and lights before recycling. Trees need to be cut into 3-foot lengths or less and placed curbside for free collection on your regular recycling day. Or you can bring your tree to the Solid Waste Recycling Drop-off Center at the corner of Valley and Runyon streets.

Due to the New Year’s holiday, our pickup schedule will be a day late (i.e. Monday’s route will be picked up on Tuesday; Tuesday’s on Wednesday, etc.)

For more information about the Earth Angel Recycling Program, call the Solid Waste Department at 321-6911.
