HS Tech Learning has 1st anniversary open house
HS Tech Learning Center, formerly SeniorNet, will celebrate its first anniversary with an open house at 1662 Higdon Ferry Road, Doctor’s Building, Suite 120, from 1-3 p.m. Friday. Please mark the calendar and plan to attend this milestone of the Tech Learning Center. Refreshments and door prizes.
The center will continue conducting workshops and classes for interested adults. All computer classes are hands-on, with each student having access to a computer. Workshops will include classes on Facebook, Pinterest, internet and handheld mobile devices. Students will be provided with information specifically developed for each class and workshop.
Tech Learning Center’s goal is to reach and teach the public what they need to know using patient, experienced instructors and coaches.

DAV offers scholarships to members, relations
Disabled American Veterans Chapter 5 is offering scholarships, up to $8,000, available for any DAV member, spouse, child or grandchild. For information, contact the Hot Springs Service Office at 401 Mid-America Blvd. or email garlandcntydavoffice@gmail.com.
Veterans in need of assistance with benefit claims should come to the office and visit with the DAV service officer on duty. Normal hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday-Thursday.
Computer Club of HSV offers Drop-in Help
HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE — The Computer Club of Hot Springs Village will offer a Drop-in Help sessions at 1 p.m. Thursday at Village Church of Christ on Balboa. Any and all computer questions will be answered. There is no charge and membership is not required.
A general meeting at 6 p.m. Jan. 25 at the Coronado Center will tell attendees what they need to know about the crypto-currency, Bitcoin. There is no charge and membership is not required. Learn how this new currency may change the way business is done.
