Harrison Dentistry
Quality care, quality life
Harrison Dentistry is excited to be a part of this community. This is without a doubt one of the premier places in the world to live. We strive to provide the same quality of care in our office so that we can be considered one of the reasons that quality of life in Hot Springs is high on the list. I would like to share with you some information about how to decide the kind of dental care that is right for you.
Doctor selection
One of the criteria for selecting a doctor, second opinion or not, is that the doctor is established, has a nice facility, has kept current, and has a good reputation in the community. The best value is quality care. Beware of insurance lists, big specials, etc. These are not indicative of getting the correct care and dentistry that improves and maintains quality of life.
Second opinions
If you are in a situation that you are in need of extensive dental work it is advisable to seek more than one opinion. Even if your doctor is a long time relationship, it is still advisable to seek a second opinion. Usually there are different options for consideration and as a patient that is undergoing the displeasure of the treatment and all that goes
with that-time, discomfort, inconvenience, loss of job time, and particularly costs, it is well worth a little more time to seek out more information so that you can make an informed decision. The goal here is not so much seeking a “cheaper” treatment but to learn what is best for you. Your doctor should be “transparent” and provide whatever information needed for that second opinion. That would include but not limit to X-rays, treatment plan, lab work (types of material etc.) costs, and whatever other information is pertinent.
Quality of health
One of the more recent findings is that quality dental care and maintenance is essential to your physical well-being. There has been extensive new research that dental oral care is key to one’s well-being. The hygienist is an essential part of your overall care, very possibly the most important person in the dental office.
