Part of Eagle Loop closes for construction

Eagle Loop, west of Weston Road, is closed to through traffic today for gas line construction.

Signs will be posted, and motorists are asked to seek an alternate route during street closure.

‘Sound of Soul’ event Sunday at Marriott

An “Experience the Sound of Soul” event will be held from 11 a.m. to noon Sunday at the Courtyard Marriott, 200 Marriott Court.

“Discover your inner guidance, healing for body, mind and spirit, and a higher form of creativity by chanting the sacred sound of HU,” a news release said. “HU is a sacred sound and ancient mantra. It is an ancient name for God that has been sung for thousands of years in many lands for spiritual unfoldment. HU can uplift people of any religion, culture or walk of life.”

Free health screening Sunday at HS Mall

A free health screening for the public will be offered at the Hot Springs Mall from 1-5 p.m. Sunday just inside the entrance near the fountain. The screening will include body mass index, lung capacity, blood pressure and health age analysis.

This free service is offered by Adventist Health Ministries and is available for all.
