Betty Ann Abramson, 82, of Hot Springs, Ark., passed away Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. today. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at Lowe Cemetery with Brother Teddy Frye officiating.

Paul R. Dupree
Paul Ray Dupree, 60, of Hot Springs, Ark., passed on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2018, at National Park Medical Center, Hot Springs.
He was born Nov. 14, 1957, to Lengee Dupree Sr. and Clementine Hunter Goodman in Little Rock, Ark. Paul attended Benton High School and Malvern High School. He spent his years working as a maintenance man. He loved his family and talking on the phone. Paul often joked around getting on his family’s nerves; but his family loved him anyways because sister Betty said that was Paul’s way of checking on the family. Paul never had a problem asking about your personal business.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clementine Goodman and Lenge Dupree Sr. Grandmothers, Luree Roberson Hearn and Berta Jean Dupree. Sisters, Bertha Jean Dupree, Duane Dupree Morgan. Uncles, John James, John and Paul Hunter.
Paul is survived by his stepfather, Leron Goodman, of Malvern, Ark. Brothers: Lenge (Patricia) Dupree Jr., of Converse, Texas, David Ellis, of Hot Springs, Ark., Marcus (Sonja) Goodman, of Converse, Texas. Sisters: Betty Dupree Griffin, of Malvern, Ark., Evelyn Elaine Moore Dupree, of Malvern, Ark., Aletha M. Anderson, of Wrightsville, Ark., and Arlette (John) Hill. Aunt: Mayme (Clint), Malvern, Ark. Special friend, Jean Homer.
Memorial services: 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, at True Believers Praise & Worship Sanctuary, 200 W. 2nd, Malvern, Ark.

Leon Norris Samuels Sr. died Jan. 31, 2018.
He was predeceased by his parents, Addison and Peraline Samuels; a son, Adison Samuels; daughter, Andrea George; and his siblings.
Survivors include his former wife, Annie Samuels White; two children, Leon Norris Samuels Jr. (Christy) and Andrewetta Samuels-Chandler (Christopher); sister, Erma Smith (Robert); nine grandchildren and extended family.
Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, at Bright Star Baptist Church, 3330 Meriweather Road, Shreveport, La.
