Pike seeks fifth term as Garland County circuit clerk

-

Jeannie Pike has announced she is seeking re-election as Garland County circuit clerk. She is currently serving her fourth term.

“I love serving the citizens of Garland County and consider it an honor and privilege to be your circuit clerk and would appreciate the opportunity to serve as your clerk,” she said.

The circuit clerk is the clerk of the circuit and juvenile courts and acts as the ex officio recorder of Garland County.

Pike said her office, as of Dec. 4, 2017, has implemented the state’s court case management system.

This makes court documents available for viewing by the public and allows attorneys to file court cases and documents 24 hours a day, seven days a week, electronically.

This new technology, along with Contexte, the electronic recording system for land records, has put the circuit clerk’s office in a digital environment, which has significantly changed the way business is conducted, and has greatly improved access to the county’s records.

Pike presently has over 100 hours of continuing education with the Arkansas Circuit Clerk’s Association and serves as ACCA’s District 4 director. She also serves on the ACCA’s executive board, legislative committee, grant committee and Contexte User Group Committee.

Pike received a data quality award in July from the state’s Administrative Office of the Courts for her office’s diligence collecting records that help courts monitor juveniles’ school status.

Pike has been a resident of Garland County for 18 years and attends First Church of the Nazarene. She has four grown children and eight grandchildren.

Pike said she wants to thank the citizens of Garland County for allowing her to serve and respectfully asks for the community’s vote and ongoing support for re-election.
