Count your blessings

-

Dear editor:

Rebuttal to “Pinocchio’s White House.” Wow! That was fast. My letter was printed on Feb. 11. Yours on Feb. 16. Count your blessings, Doc!

But, you don’t know what you’re talking about. How would I know that Gerson is a Trump trasher if I hadn’t read his column? He referred to a column published the same day as my letter and I must admit, I don’t collect his writings. If Gerson is a Republican — I’m a Democrat.

You criticized my writing as “uncoordinated ramblings.” Yeah, I do skip around — so much to say, so little space.

Did you, as a perfectionist, know that when you quote someone (quotation marks?), you are supposed to use their words? My words were “I presume Trump trashing,” your words, “which probably lambastes the president.” I was surprised that you misquoted me, your being perfect in all that you do.

As for calling President Trump a liar, if we were to remove Hillary’s name from all her lies (Benghazi, private servers (33, not one), etc. etc.) and insert Donald’s, would you sweep it all under the rug, as you do for Hillary?

The worst stench in the land today is those identifying as Christians being pro-abortion, pro-same-sex marriage and embracing other gods than our Father who created us.

Thought for the day: When dining out, if you see someone in uniform, pay their ticket — we owe them!

Thank you.

God bless America, President Trump and all those in uniform. Mary Robinson Hot Springs
