Mountain Pine students to visit HSV Players
HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE — Mountain Pine School students will get a taste of theater on stage and behind the scenes when they visit the Hot Springs Village Players April 12 at Woodlands Auditorium.
Students will see the set for the HSVP’s next show, “Arsenic and Old Lace,” which runs April 20-22. The theater experience will offer a glimpse into what community theater is about and expose students to the excitement and the creative process that goes into a production, a news release said.
Showtimes for “Arsenic and Old Lace” are 7 p.m. April 20-21, with a 2 p.m. matinee on April 22. Reserved seating is available. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased online at http://www.hsvpoa.org/event-tickets/ or by calling The Woodlands Center from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekdays at 501-922-4231.
Season tickets for all three HSVP shows are $45 and include “Play On!” set for Aug. 10-12 and “Mom’s Gift,” set for Nov. 19-21.
The HSVP is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. It has presented over 135 productions since it began, and in 2018 it will celebrate its 40th anniversary of entertaining audiences with professional quality theater, a news release said.
As a member of The American Association of Community Theatres, the organization is dedicated to live theater at an affordable price, the release said. Presently, with a membership of over 200, the group is always looking for new talent and welcomes the public to attend its meetings and become a Player.
