Resort TV Cable announces promotion

Resort Television Cable announced the recent promotion of Jeremy Galloway to installati­on manager.

Serving as a maintenanc­e technician and receiving various accreditat­ions from the National Cable Technical Institute, as well as achieving a four-year degree from Kaplan University, “Jeremy has performed excellent work

with Resort Television Cable the past nine years,” states the press release.

His new role as installati­on manger will be the management of the broadband installati­on department and ensuring quality installati­on of broadband services to our customers.

Surgeon joins staff of HS Cardiovasc­ular

Dr. Edward Warren and the staff of the Hot Springs Cardiovasc­ular Surgery Center are pleased to welcome board certified cardiovasc­ular, thoracic and vascular surgeon Daniel McCoy, MD, FACS.

He began serving the greater Hot Springs area on staff at National Park Medical Center on March 1, practicing in the Heart and Vascular Center of Central Arkansas. “I am excited to work again with Dr. Warren, whom

I’ve known for many years, and is a true pioneer in surgical services in the Hot Springs area,” says McCoy in the press release.

McCoy received his undergradu­ate degree at the University of Virginia and received his medical degree from Medical University of South Carolina. He completed his residency in general surgery at the University of Mississipp­i, as well as his Thoracic Surgery Residency at the University of Tennessee in Memphis.

With nearly 30 years of experience in cardiovasc­ular and thoracic surgery, McCoy has most recently been in practice in Gadsden, Ala. Prior to that, he practiced more than 15 years in eastern Tennessee. McCoy specialize­s in open and minimally invasive surgeries, including coronary artery bypass, heart valve repair/replacemen­t, aortic surgery, carotid endarterec­tomy, aorta-bifemoral bypass, peripheral arterial bypass and lung cancer resection and staging.

Neurosurge­ons join CHI St. Vincent HS

Neurosurge­ons James M. Arthur, M.D., and Justin Dowdy, M.D., with the Hot Springs Neurosurge­ry Clinic, have joined the CHI St. Vincent medical group, CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs announced.

The clinic specialize­s in treatment of surgical diseases of the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves and spine, including degenerati­ve diseases, trauma, benign and malignant tumors and infectious processes, as well as congenital abnormalit­ies. Darlene Abernathy, APRN, and Kay Lynn Harris, APRN, will also join the CHI St. Vincent Medical Group as a part of the clinic’s medical team.

Arthur has more than 40 years of experience in neurosurge­ry. He establishe­d his practice, Hot Springs Neurosurge­ry Clinic P.A., in 1981. Dowdy joined the practice in 2016 after serving as chief resident in the department of neurologic­al surgery at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
