Barbara Johnson Hill, age 81, of Hot Springs Village, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at CHI St. Vincent hospital on Feb. 17, 2018. Barbara was born in Chicago, Ill., on Nov. 4, 1936.

She lived in many cities, including Houston, Texas, before moving to the Village in 2006. She was an active member of many clubs and organizati­ons. She loved visiting family, traveling the world with friends, playing bridge, the theater, and many other social activities. She was full of life and lived each day to its fullest.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Marjorie Johnson; her sister, Bonnie Johnson Selig; and son, Andrew Stafford.

She is survived by five children, John Stafford, of Chicago, Ill., Jeffrey (Jeff) Stafford and wife Laura, of Clarksvill­e, Tenn., Sharon Antoun, of Cincinnati, Ohio, Michael (Mike) Stafford and wife Judy, of Jefferson, Texas, and Stanley Robert (Robb) Hill and wife Cindy, of Cypress, Texas. She was blessed with 10 grandchild­ren, Andrea Hintz and husband Aaron, Chelsea Snow and husband Brian, of Clarksvill­e, Tenn., Mathew Stafford, of Austin, Texas, Jack Antoun, of Cincinnati, Ohio, Nicholas Stafford and wife Cadi, of Hughes Springs, Texas, Stephanie Antoun, of Cincinnati, Ohio, Jesse Stafford, of Austin, Texas, and Tyler, Alex and Kaylee Hill, of Cypress, Texas. She had the joy of eight great-grandchild­ren, Alexia, Aidan and Rylan Snow, Jackson and Greyson Hintz, of Clarksvill­e, Tenn., and Avery, Raygan and Nash Stafford, of Hughes Springs, Texas.

The family’s memorial services are pending and we ask, at Barbara’s request, that her friends near and far take time and celebrate her wonderful life.
