Studio Tours offers unique look into artists’ process

-

Studio Tours, April 28-29, will be a highlight of this year’s Arts & the Park festival, where curious art lovers can visit the personal studios of participating artists.

The hands-on experience will allow visitors to interact one-on-one with artists and see them in their creative environments.

The studios will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.

Because the 22 participating studios are spread across Garland County, attendees will drive themselves and may spend as long as they would like at each location. Artists not only show their art but also reveal the intimate spaces where they create and work. It is a great opportunity for patrons to interact one-on-one and see the art-making process, a news release said.

Attendees can expect to see drawing, painting, sculpture, pottery, jewelry, stained glass, fabric, metal, and wood along with other media being created.

A map and listing of participating studios and more information about Arts & The Park can be found online at http://www.hotspringsarts.org.

Studio Tours is part of Arts & The Park, a 10-day celebration of the arts in Hot Springs that includes over 60 events planned during its annual art festival from April 27-May 6. Arts & The Park is made possible by community support from presenting sponsor Mountain Valley Spring Water, Hot Springs Village, Visit Hot Springs, Department of Arkansas Heritage, Arvest, Hot Springs Community Foundation and the Morris Foundation
