Stop Animal Cruelty of Hot Spring and Garland Counties meets the first Sunday of every month with the location announced on its Facebook page, Stop Animal Cruelty Arkansas. It is a “no kill” nonprofit organizati­on ran by volunteers where all pets are kept in foster care. Its purpose is to promote humane principles, prevent cruelty, encourage spay and neutering, and alleviate fear, pain and suffering in animals. It sponsors low-cost spay and neuter clinics to help alleviate pet overpopula­tion.
