The Sentinel-Record - - BUSINESS -

For more than two decades, Security Bank is the longest serving mortgage company in Hot Springs. Located in the same location since it opened, Security Bank is “proud of its history and heritage.”

At the end of World War II, Security Bank opened its doors on April 1, 1946, in Stephens by being the only bank in U.S. history to start from a $5,000 GI loan. With four generations of leadership, Security Bank carries on this pioneer spirit and tradition.

Buck Smith, president of Security Bank, states in the press release, “My great-grandfather, grandfather and father were and are the cornerstones of building Security Bank.

“We are fortunate to remain one of the few smaller family owned and operated banks in the country. We are proud to be able to continue this commitment to our customers and the hard-working people of Arkansas.”

With the many changes in financial institutions, “Security Bank is dedicated to continue its longstanding presence in Hot Springs and to meet and exceed customer expectations with its personalized service.”

“We look forward to helping our customers realize their dreams,” Marilee Moreland, loan production office manager, said. “Our loan programs are catered to our customer’s individual financial needs and our goal is to build long-lasting customer relationships. We explain each loan program and help them decide which one works best for them. We love making our customers feel like ‘family’ throughout this process.”

The friendly and helpful staff is dedicated to their customers. Jackie Graves, loan assistant and secretary; Valerie Brasfield, loan processor/originator; Elidia James, bi-lingual (Spanish) loan processor/originator; and Maylonda Chadick, loan assistant, contribute many years of banking and financial service experience to our company.
