Vicki D.M. Fletcher

Vicki D. Mitchell Fletcher, 64, of Hot Springs, passed away on April 14, 2018.

She was born Nov. 24, 1953, in Fort Smith, to William R. and Margaret “Marge” Mitchell. Vicki was a loving mother, grandmothe­r, aunt, teacher and friend.

She is predecease­d by her parents and grandmothe­r, Froy Noe.

Vicki is survived by two daughters, Michell Fletcher and Mariellen Fletcher; sister, Paige Rix; grandson, Daniel Beavers; niece, Mimi Bell; nephew, Will Rix; and three great-nephews, Austin Guthrie, Brennan Dorrell and Kayden Bell.

Vicki was a devoted Christian and attended St. James United Methodist Church. She graduated from Hot Springs High School in 1972 and went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree at the University of Arkansas. She was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. For 41 years, Vicki taught in the Little Rock School District and retired from Henderson Middle School as an eighth-grade science teacher. Vicki enjoyed the lake and attending Oaklawn.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home with Rico Harris officiatin­g.

Rodger Vail

GLENWOOD — Rodger “Buck” Vail, age 71, of Glenwood, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018.

He was born on Oct. 9, 1946, at Brady, Texas, the son of James Vail and Ruth Naomi DeSpain Vail. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Vail; his parents; and his grandparen­ts, Jim and Lilly DeSpain.

Buck was a member of the Circle Cross Cowboy Church in Glenwood. He was retired from the Lake Hamilton School District and a longtime member of ABATE and HOG motorcycle groups. He enjoyed playing “old style” country music with his band, and riding motorcycle­s and horses. An avid outdoorsma­n, he adored animals and was known as the “animal whisperer.” Buck was a loyal friend and adored his family.

He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, James (Cathy) Newlin, of Bismarck, and Frank (Milly) Nuttle, of Nashville; one daughter and son-in-law, Angie (Junior) Lingo, of Murfreesbo­ro; one sister and brother-in-law, Judy (Paul) Hovey, of Burnet, Texas; nine grandchild­ren, Dillon Hunt, Galen Newlin, Lovevannah Newlin, Dustin Staten, Taylor Staten, Jerimiah (Carmen) Lingo, Joshua Lingo, Brittney (Hunter) Cox and Daniel Nuttle; five great-grandchild­ren, Abby Nuttle, Raelynn Nuttle, Tyler Staten, Bransyn Staten and Nykkan Staten, and one great-grandchild on the way, Bentley Kaden Cox.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Davis-Smith Funeral Home chapel, Glenwood, with Brother Rickey Meeks officiatin­g.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Sunday.

Interment will be in Murfreesbo­ro Cemetery.

Pallbearer­s will be Donald Palumbo, Dillon Hunt, Galen Newlin, Jerimiah Lingo, Joshua Lingo, Dustin Staten and Taylor Staten.

Dana C. Williams

Dana Chance Williams, age 36, of Hot Springs, passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2018.

Dana was an electronic disc jockey. He was known around town to many for his skills and playing in many places around the world.

He is survived by his parents, Gail Williams Lago and Steve Painter; his children, Kayla and Kash Williams; sisters, Codi and Ali Painter; a special friend, Mark Maycock; and a host of other friends and extended family.

A celebratio­n of life will be held from 1:30-4 p.m. today, April 21, 2018, at the Arlington Park, downtown Hot Springs.
