Roy Virgil May, 83, of Hot Springs, passed away on May

4, 2018. He was born on June 17,

1934, to John and Lena (Gibson) May in Hot Springs.

Roy was a young entreprene­ur. He had a 25-year career with OTASCO and then started a family business, YAM’s, home of “A Yam Good Deal.”

He is preceded in death by his father and mother; wife of

40 years, Betty Jane Siratt; and

10 brothers and sisters. Survivors include his loving wife of

21 years, JoAnn May; son, Jerry (Vicki) May; son, Terry (Janna) May; daughter, Donna (Drew) Cosgrove; stepson, Randy (Cynthia) McGrew; stepson, Richard (Debbie) McGrew; stepdaught­er, Marilyn McGrew; 13 grandchild­ren; and six great-grandchild­ren.

Visitation will be held 5–7 p.m. today at Caruth Hale Funeral Home in Hot Springs. Life Celebratio­n will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 8, at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Smith and Gerald Taylor, with burial in Morning Star Cemetery.

Pallbearer­s are Charles Spicer, Ray Mathis, John Mcferrin, Charles Tapp, Harry Dies and Bill Sanders.

Honorary pallbearer­s are the Sam Windell Sunday school class at Hot Springs Baptist, Pete Barker, Dale Kemp, outpatient nurses and hospice nurses at CHI, and caregivers: Elain, Sara and Andria.
