Senior Centers’ Chair Volleyball teams meet

Members of CHI St. Vincent Senior Center have formed a chair volleyball team which will meet at 9:30 a.m. Fridays at the CHI St. Vincent McAuley Senior Center.

AARP driver safety class at HSV UU

HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE — An AARP Smart Driver course will be sponsored by Unitarian Universali­st Village Church, 403 Barcelona Road, Hot Springs Village, at noon May 17. Qualified graduates are eligible for an auto insurance discount.

There is a $15 fee for AARP members and $20 fee for nonmembers to cover course materials. Bring your driver’s license and, if applicable, AARP membership card. Call 501-226-5100 to enroll.

Radio club hosts volunteer examiner test

HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE – Hot Springs Village Amateur Radio Club will sponsor a volunteer examiner testing session at 9:15 a.m. May 12 in Room D at Garland County Library, 1427 Malvern Ave. The doors open at 9 a.m.

Anyone interested in upgrading their amateur license or obtaining a new one is welcome. Call Bill Stewart, WA9AQQ , at 501-915-0976, for informatio­n or to register.

Upgrade candidates are required to bring a photo ID, their original signed amateur license and any applicable CSCEs. A processing fee of $15 will be collected. Unlicensed candidates need only bring the photo ID plus the fee.
