Terry G. Ames

Terry Glen Ames, 69, of Hot Springs, Ark., passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2018, surrounded by his loving wife and children.

Terry was born April 17,

1949, in Torrance, Calif., to the late Paul and Hazel (Milam) Ames. He was an aircraft machinist and a member of the Elks Lodge for the past

28 years. Terry grew up in California and graduated from Carson High School. He and his family moved to Arkansas in 1994. He was an avid bowler throughout his life and loved camping with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Pamela Ames; children, Lauri Watkins (Chris), Andrew Ames (Joanna Goglio), Jeff Ames (Sheanee) and Stephanie Williams (Jason); grandchild­ren, Kayla Ames, Riley Williams, Peyton Williams, Benjamin Ames Watkins, Adelyne Williams and Braxton Ames; siblings, Kenneth Ames, Douglas Ames, Sue Carol Jorsch and Kathy Sison; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Graveside service is 3 p.m. Saturday at Prairie Bayou Cemetery, Bismarck, Ark., with Brother Chris Morrison officiatin­g.

Harold Bates

BISMARCK — Harold “Boze” Bates, age 90, of Bismarck, passed away Monday, May 7, 2018.

The family will hold a memorial service at 2 p.m . Saturday in the Bonnerdale Seventh-day Adventist Church with Pastor Brandon Westgate officiatin­g.

Bobbie L.T. Brown

MALVERN — Bobbie Linnes Thrash Brown, age 89, of Malvern, passed away on Tuesday evening, May 8, 2018, in Hot Springs.

She was born on Nov. 5, 1928, in Glenwood, Ark., to the late Hardy Thrash and Rene Foshee Thrash. Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Walter Henry (Buddy) Brown, her brother, Edward Thrash, and three sisters, Florene Norris, Erma Gray and Devoy Collier.

Bobbie was a faithful member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Malvern and loved her time volunteeri­ng at the Senior Adult Center. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmothe­r, and spent many hours following her grandchild­rens’ sports teams. Members of the teams lovingly called her Granny Brown.

She is survived by her son, Keith (Teresa) Brown, of Benton; three daughters, Ann (Ronnie) Kerr, Mary (Randy) Morgan and Gail (Frank) McClure, all of Hot Springs; eight grandchild­ren, Paige (Steve) Smith, of Parkersbur­g, W.Va., Ellen (Matt) Hillis, of Fayettevil­le, Matt (Katrina) Morgan, of Phoenix, Ariz., Sarah McClure, of New York, Katie (Nick) Bartelt, of Bentonvill­e, and Ross (Aimee) Brown, Rob (Katie) Brown and Russell Brown, all of Benton; nine great-grandchild­ren, and a number of beloved nieces and nephews. The family would like to express appreciati­on to her friends and caregivers at the home she loved, The Crossing.

Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. today, May 11, 2018, at Emmanuel Baptist Church, immediatel­y followed by the funeral service. Brother Eli Maynard will officiate. Private family interment will follow at Rockport Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of J.A. Funk Funeral Home.

Evelyn V.S. Lynch

On Friday, May 4, 2018, Evelyn Viola Shehane Lynch (GranGran), 87, passed away at home in Hot Springs, Ark., surrounded by her family.

She is the daughter of the late Dr. Y.T. and Clara Viola Shehane. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Oran Lynch; daughter, Delores Richardson; son, Larry Lynch; son-in-law, Steven Daves; and grandson-in-law, David Reynolds.

She was “GranGran” to all who met her and all who met her loved her. She held many positions of employment throughout the years including (18) years at National Rejectors before the plant was closed.

Survivors include son, Michael (Betsy) Lynch, Broken Arrow, Okla.; daughter, Cindy (Stacey) Penny, Hot Springs; daughter-in-law, Michele Lynch, Hot Springs; brother, Edward (Charlene) Shehane, Little Rock, Ark.; grandsons, Scott (Barbara) Lynch, Hillsborou­gh, N.C., Christophe­r (Sarah) Lynch, Brian (Ralonda) Lynch, all of Broken Arrow, Okla.; granddaugh­ters, Jennifer (Michael) McCurry, Benton, Melissa Reynolds, Hot Springs, Shelly (Craig) Farrow, McKinney, Texas, Kenley (Dylan) Forga, Conway, Ark., Kortney (Grant) LaCombe, Hot Springs, Tanesha (Collin) Carter, Siloam Springs, Ark., Megan Penny (Christophe­r Cochran), Hot Springs; 22 great-grandchild­ren; (4) great-great-grandchild­ren; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 12, 2018, in Gross Funeral Home chapel, with interment to follow immediatel­y at Crestview Cemetery. Teddy Frye will officiate.

Visitation will be in the Gross Funeral Home chapel from 6-8 p.m. today, May 11, 2018.

Pallbearer­s are Michael McCurry, Craig Farrow, Christophe­r Lynch, Brian Lynch, Grant LaCombe, Collin Carter, Dylan Forga and Christophe­r Cochran.

Honorary pallbearer is David Reynolds.

A special thanks to her loving niece, Karen Garrett, who adopted “Aunt Evelyn” as her second mom, and to Erica Tollett for her loving care and friendship, also, to Kindred Hospice, Kindred At Home and Canyon Springs Rehabilita­tion.

Rick Shores

LONSDALE — Rick Shores, 64, of Lonsdale, Ark., passed away May 8, 2018.

He was born May 8, 1954, in Hot Springs, Ark., to Gordon Wayne and Wilma Dean (Bean) Shores. Rick loved to hunt and fish and had a true love for his family.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Nelda Shores, of Lonsdale; son, Ricky Wayne Shores (Misty), of Hot Springs; daughters, Laura Shores, Angela Shores, both of Hot Springs Village; brother, Tony Shores (Lynn), of Searcy; sister, Julie Shores, of Hot Springs; three grandchild­ren; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. Saturday at Old Union Primitive Baptist Church with a celebratio­n of Rick’s life immediatel­y following at 10 a.m. with Brother Larry McNeely officiatin­g.

Burial will follow at Antioch Cemetery.

Pallbearer­s include Wesley Clem, Paul East, Larry Sabourin, Bill Clem, Larry Dale Tillery and Blant Tillery.

Amanda L. Treadwell

ROGERS — Amanda Lee Treadwell, 48, of Rogers, passed away May 9, 2018, in Bentonvill­e.

She was born July 31, 1969, in El Dorado, Ark., the daughter of Jerry and Emma Richardson Perkins. Amanda was a Doctor of Physical Therapy. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Crossett and attended Fellowship Baptist Church in Lowell.

She is survived by her children, Tristan Treadwell, Connor Treadwell and Lauren Treadwell; her parents Jerry and Emma Perkins; and one brother, Greg Perkins, all of Hot Springs.

Funeral services are 2 p.m. Sunday, May 13, 2018, at Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N.

ARKADELPHI­A — Jesse Williams, 88, of Arkadelphi­a, passed May 2, 2018.

Survivors are wife, Parthena Willliams; children, Belinda Henderson and Joyce Williams, Little Rock; Jesse (Ramona) Williams Jr., Fresno, Texas; K.L. Williams, Hot Springs; and 43 grandchild­ren.
