Humane Society of Garland County pet adoption is held from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturdays at Petco, in Cornerstone Shopping Center. All dogs and cats are neutered, up-to-date on shots and deemed healthy. Hot Springs Buddhist Society will meet from 9-10 a.m. Saturday at Hot Springs Yoga Center, 1107 W. Grand Ave. Come for group meditation, discussion and book sharing. Water workout and aerobics, Aqua Arthritis classes and swim lessons for all ages are held at Quapaw Community Center, 500 Quapaw Ave. Water aerobics is at 9 a.m. Monday-Friday and water workout at 10 a.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Aqua Arthritis classes follow the guidelines of the Arthritis Foundation’s water exercise program and are held at 1 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Water exercise is a low-impact way to work out. A Dogs Life Rescue adoptions are held from 7 a.m. to noon Saturdays, unless raining, at Transportation Plaza and Orange Street. All dogs are spayed or neutered, and up to date on shots. Hot Springs Toastmasters will meet at 8 a.m. Saturday in the Chapel Room at National Park Medical Center, 1910 Malvern Ave., on the left when looking at the hospital from Malvern Avenue. Park below and enter from under the portico. All former Toastmasters and guests are welcome. Division A Director Adren Duncan should be in attendance. There is no charge to see what the club is about. This club is a part of Toastmasters District 43. Toastmasters is a supportive, inexpensive way to learn speaking and leadership skills.
