Celebrating 60 years in business
Jordan Bedding & Furniture Gallery is celebrating 60 years of business this year. Buddy and Naomi Jordan started Jordan Bedding in 1958 in their garage to support them and their three children. Now 60 years later, the Jordan family is continuing to follow the model they started from humble beginnings.
“We are truly a family business,” said owner, Shanna Jordan. “Robin learned how to make mattresses according to the strict standards his father put in place. Our goal as a family has always been to make the best product at the best price.”
Robin and Shanna have two children, Cameron and Rachel, who have both been involved in the family business. Cameron has gone on to work as a furniture buyer for a company in New York City and Rachel’s husband Ryan has come to work in the family business.
“Ryan is learning all aspects of the business now. We are happy to have him as our sales manager,” said Shanna. “Buddy and Naomi would be proud to know that the business is now in its third generation of Jordan family members.”
Another longtime employee that is like family, Daniel Lee, is production manager. “We love the family atmosphere of our business and treat our customers the way we would expect to be treated. We really have great loyal longtime customers who keep recommending us,” Shanna said.
One of the things that sets Jordan mattresses apart is that each mattress is handcrafted right on the premises. Innerspring mattresses are still made two sided so that they can be flipped over for durability. “We don’t cut corners on our mattresses to make more money,” Shanna explains. “We want to be known for a product that lasts and provides the best sleep.”
Jordan Bedding also has a furniture gallery where they offer Best Home Furnishings sofas, chairs and recliners, Jackson/Catnapper sofas and recliners, and Vaughan-Bassett bedroom groups. All the furniture is USA made and meets the quality the Jordan family wants available to its customers.
Customers can also find a variety of pillows to meet any comfort level. This year Jordan Bedding has also launched a new website that features the mattresses and furniture in a user friendly format. There is also a quiz that will help customers find the best mattress for their comfort level. As far as mattresses, Jordan Bedding offers 14 different comfort levels, including pillow tops, plush tops, memory foam, gel memory foam, Talalay latex, and adjustable beds. Special financing is available for any purchase.
