TEACHER OF THE YEAR
Lake Hamilton High School teacher Brandon Smith was selected as the 2017-18 District Teacher of the Year. Smith will represent Lake Hamilton in the Arkansas Teacher of the Year program. The school district’s selection committee noted in a news release that the time and effort Smith puts into his work is “extremely uncommon.” “He has garnered the respect of his peers and the hundreds of students he engages,” the committee said. “The enormous impact and immense influence he has had on the lives of these teens is easily observed and moving.”
