Tony L. Black

Tony L. Black, age 50, of Hot Springs, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 1, 2018.

He was born on February

10, 1968, in Hot Springs, the son of Ivan Black and Patsy Harvey Black. On October 21, 1994, he married Melissa Smith. He was preceded in death by his father, father-in-law, M. Eric Smith, and his grandparents.

Tony was Baptist in faith. He worked for Instrument Supply Inc. for nearly 30 years. He adored the outdoors, an avid hunter and fisherman. He was feared by many whitetail deer during modern gun season.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Melissa Smith; his mother, Patsy Black, of Hot Springs; his two sons, Dustin Shelton and Eric Black, both of Hot Springs; his sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Wayne Spray, of Hot Springs; two additional brothers-inlaws and three sisters-in-laws, Cory and Destiny Reichardt, of Hot Springs, John and Jessica Smith, of Mountain Pine, and Sarah Taylor, of Ohio; his uncle and aunt, Dale and Argie Lee Harvey, of Tahlequah; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a host of wonderful friends.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June

6, 2018, at Morning Star Cemetery with Bro. Alfred Harvey officiating.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs.

Honorary pallbearers will be the employees of Instrument Supply of Hot Springs.

Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs.
