The ‘Korean Conflict’

-

Dear editor:

It appears to me that Noah Little knows a little about almost everything, but knows everything about almost nothing.

When Chinese troops began killing American troops in the “Korean Conflict,” it became apparent that the USA was facing another World War, not just a regional conflict. The proper thing to do at the time was to stop fighting. A cease fire was declared — an agreement to stop fighting. There was no surrender — no final declaration of a winner or loser in the “Korean Conflict.” The “Conflict” has never “officially ended.”

Now the two Korean leaders (North and South) have met and seem on the way to a peaceful settlement, if not a reunification of the divided nations. I am under the impression that the USA and the CSA did something similar at the end of the so-called “Civil War.” (BTW) that war did end when Lee surrendered. If President Trump can help in the Korean process without starting another global conflict, I’m all for it.

To say that President Trump tweets “every morning” that “my button is bigger than yours” or to say that President Trump says that all illegal immigrants are members of MS-13 and, therefore, are “animals,” is just wrong and hateful. If Noah Little and the mainstream media want to use the English language to convey the truth, they should go back to elementary school, in my opinion. M. Wayne Spencer Hot Springs
