HS man arrested after raid
A local man was arrested on multiple felony drug charges involving cocaine, meth and marijuana Thursday morning after a search warrant was executed on a room at a local motel by
Hot Springs police and its
SWAT team.
Robert Horris Hood Jr., 43, who lists an Oakcliff Street address, was taken into custody around 11:30 a.m. in Room 204 at the Econo Inn, 805 E. Grand Ave., and charged with possession of meth with purpose to deliver, possession of cocaine with purpose to deliver,
possession of marijuana with purpose to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and unauthorized use of another person’s property to facilitate certain crimes.
Hood was being held on bonds totaling $32,500 and is set to appear today in Garland County District Court.
According to a news release from Hot Springs police, the department’s Special Investigations Division executed the warrant shortly before 11:30 a.m. with the assistance of the SWAT team.
Upon entry, officers located Hood and found reportedly found he was in possession of crack cocaine, meth, hydroponic marijuana, various items of drug paraphernalia and “a large amount of cash.”
The release noted the estimated street value of all the drugs found was about $10,000.
