A North Little Rock man faces multiple felony charges after security footage allegedly showed him stealing a pickup truck and taking a boat motor and power tools from his place of employment in Hot Springs.

Jason Brett Shirley, 41, was taken into custody shortly after 10 a.m. Wednesday and charged with theft of property more than $25,000, punishable by up to 20 years in prison, commercial burglary, punish- able by up to 10 years, and first-degree criminal mischief more than $1,000, punishable by up to six years.

Shirley was released on

$11,000 bond and is set to appear June 26 in Garland County District Court.

According to the probable cause affidavit, a burglary was reported at Gregg Orr Marine,

200 Corporate Terrace, on June

11. A white GMC Sierra pickup, valued at $18,000, a Yamaha boat motor, valued at $7,280, and power tools valued at

$5,000, were reportedly stolen. The truck was later found abandoned in the 3000 block of Spring Street and had an estimated $3,702.03 in damages.

Video surveillance from the dealership, taken at around 2:30 a.m. June 11, revealed a white male wearing a dark cap, longsleeved shirt, and dark pants with vertical white stripes carrying what appeared to be a crowbar walking toward the business.

The video reportedly also showed a second person entering the property through the two locked gates.

At around 3 a.m., the stolen vehicle entered the garage with a box trailer. Shortly before 3:30 a.m., the truck exited the garage without a trailer, then drove through a locked gate, causing an estimated $1,000 of damage.

The person seen in the video was later identified as Shirley, an employee of the business, and a warrant was issued. He was taken into custody at the business Wednesday.
