Harold “Andy” Anderson, age 94, of Hot Springs, passed away on June 11, 2018, in Hot Springs, Ark.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. today at Center Fork Missionary Baptist Church with Minister of Music Shawn Crane officiating.

Loretta N. Brown
Loretta “June” Norwood Brown passed away May 9, 2018.
Born Sept. 17, 1937, to C.J. “Shorty” and Idella Norwood in Bethel, Okla.
June leaves behind daughters, Carol Rowell and Meegan Brown; sons, Danni Kastel and B.J. Brown; granddaughters, Leak Houchin and Jamie Magee; grandson, Danel MaKenzie; seven great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; sister, Franke Johnston; brother, Keith Norwood; and loving cousins, Patsy Hall, Pat Hodge and Mary Lou Baker.
A private service for friends and family will be today and June 16.
Alain S. Carter
Alain Smith Carter, in her 66th season of life, peacefully finished her earthly assignment on May 23, 2018, in the arms of her beloved husband, to forever be in the presence of the Lord.
Alain was born May 17, 1952, to the union of Alvin and Oletha Smith in Blytheville Ark.
In her early years, Alain attended Greater St. Paul Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor W.L. Robinson. It was there where she was baptized and sang in the choir. She attended the Historic Langston High School. Alain was a graduate of Hot Springs High School Class of 1970. In 1971, she moved to Kansas City, Mo., to pursue her career in modeling and to attend aviation school. She worked various jobs, but ended up in the nursing field. Her nursing career began at Menorah Medical Center in 1975. She was a member of Clear Water Mission Church. She was ordained as a missionary in 2014. She continued her nursing career in home health. She continued to work despite her illness.
She loved her family and husband deeply.
She was preceded in death by her aforementioned parents; two brothers, Alvin Smith Jr. and Fred Smith; two sisters, Margaret Smith and Oletha Smith.
Survivors include her loving and devoted husband of 25 years, Melvin Carter, of Kansas City, Mo.; two brothers, Edward Smith (Jackie), of Kansas City, Mo., and Bishop Ted Smith, of Hot Springs, Ark.; one sister, Oleta Smith, of Baton Rouge, La.; her beloved stepchildren, Jeremiah Washington (Marquita), Kristina Butler (Steven) and Melvin Battles (Isis); four grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A memorial service to celebrate and share her life story with family and friends in Hot Springs will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 16, 2018, in the chapel of Carrigan Memorial.

Anna E. Dollar
Anna Efird Dollar, 80 years old, of Hot Springs, left this world to be with her loving Savior on Tuesday, June 12, 2018.
Anna was born Oct. 19, 1937, to W.C. and Elma Efird in Willow, Ark.
Over 62 years ago, on June 29, 1955, Anna married the love of her life, Lendell Dollar, who recently left this world and was anxiously awaiting her arrival in heaven.
Over the next 30-plus years, they ran a modest poultry farm together in Garland County, Ark., and raised five children, Rochelle Warford, of Benton, Nora Eades, of Temple, Texas, Regina Castleberry, of Dallas, Texas, Barbara Polston, of Hot Springs, and James Dollar, of Malvern.
After raising her five children, Anna enjoyed working with the dietary team at St. Joseph Hospital in Hot Springs for over five years.
Anna was blessed with six loving brothers and sisters, Alan Efird, of Malvern, Barbara Jo Harper, of Longview, Wash., and Dixie Whitley, of Malvern. She had two brothers and one sister waiting for her in heaven, Willie Efird, Tennie Cooper and Carroll Efird. She also has one precious grandson, Donnie Stratton, who met her in heaven for the first time on Tuesday. She has seven grandsons, eight granddaughters, seven great-grandsons and nine great-granddaughters, as well as a host of others dear to her.
Family and friends will meet for visitation from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, June 17, 2018, at Davis-Smith Funeral Home in Hot Springs.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home chapel, Hot Springs.
Burial will be Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Donaldson, Ark.
Pallbearer’s will be C.W., Brian and Joshua Polston; Kevin and Kyle Whitley; Wayne and Hunter Dollar; Scott Efird and Chris Eades.
Honorary pallbearers are Paul and Imogene Miller, Don and the late Rose Callicott of Hot Springs and Robert Warford of Benton.

Jaffee Dunahue
Jaffee Dunahue, 89, passed away June 9, 2018.
Jafee was born in Bismarck to the late Jasper and Opal Short Collins.
He was predeceased by a son, A.J. Lane.
Jafee is survived by his daughter, Sylvia Matthews; son, Jesse Ashcraft; grandkids and great-kids, all of whom he loved — “a bushel and a peck.”
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 16, 2018, at Vista Heights Baptists Church.

GLENWOOD — Wayne David Ennis, 68, of Glenwood, Ark., went home to be with his Jesus on Tuesday, June 12, 2018.

Shelby D. Lubetz
Shelby Douglas Lubetz, age 76, of Hot Springs, passed away Monday, June 11, 2018.
She was born on July 4, 1941, in Dry Prong, La., the daughter of Edward Douglas and Eunice Hodnet Douglas. She was preceded in death by both parents; two brothers, Harold and Carroll Douglas; one sister, Thelma Slater; and three husbands, Jimmie Taylor, Steve Daly and Barry Lubetz. She was a Christian by faith and member of First Baptist Church, Hot Springs. She retired as a cosmetologist. She devoted her life to her faith and her family. She especially loved spending time in God’s word and watching Billy Graham’s sermons. She nurtured her rose garden just as she did her relationship with her Lord.
Shelby is survived by three sons, Keeven Taylor, of Hot Springs, Kenneth Taylor and wife Kelly, of Hot Springs, and Warren Blanchard, of Pierre Part, La.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kimberly Lieuallen and husband Bill, and Kathy Wallace and husband Brook, all of Hot Springs; 13 grandchildren, Brittany Taylor Atkinson, London Taylor, Kyle Taylor, Carrie Taylor, Jeremey DeVooght, Jason Klien, Asher Wallace, Adelie Wallace, Amelia Wallace, Wendi Boudreaux, Carly Campbell, Matthew McMillan and Michael McMillan; four great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Hershall Douglas and wife Joesette; brother, J.W. Douglas; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Gwen Coco and husband Terrell and Marjorie Morgan and husband Mike; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a host of wonderful friends.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 16, 2018, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home chapel, Hot Springs, with Dr. John McCallum officiating.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to service, beginning at 1 p.m.
Interment will be in the Morning Star Cemetery immediately following funeral services.
Pallbearers will be: Dr. Kevin Hale, Jeremey DeVooght, Stephen Sasnette, Chris Wilson, London Taylor and Warren Blanchard.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Robert Breving and Brother Mike Pounders.
Following the graveside service, attendees are invited to continue Shelby’s celebration of life with food and fellowship hosted by First Baptist Church of Hot Springs Women’s Ministry. It will be located in the fellowship hall at 2350 Central Ave., Hot Springs, AR 71901.
