Frances A. Lauderdale

Frances “Fran” Ann Lauderdale, 67, of Hot Springs, Ark., passed away June 18, 2018.

She was born Oct. 18, 1950, in Dallas, Texas, to the late Robert Edwin and Billie Frances (Menefee) Ramsey.

We were blessed to have a mother and friend with as much compassion as she showed to her family and her community. Her love and kindness was only outmatched by this compassion. Her care for her son’s and daughter’s friends in their time of need during their adolescent years, along with her counseling of those in the Richardson school district as a special-needs teacher’s aide and principal’s administrative aid, as well as her work with CASA, was her life’s work to help others. We are truly in awe of the woman that she was and words understate the impact she made during her time in this life. We love you, Fran, and hope the best for you in whatever happens after this life.

Fran was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lee Lauderdale; son, Roger Edwin Lauderdale; and parents.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Julia Patterson and husband Luke, of Rowlett, Texas; grandchildren: Jordan Lauderdale, Landry Patterson and Mara Patterson; brother, Robert Edwin Ramsey Jr. and wife Cathy Ann, of Rowlett, Texas; aunt, Pat Ewing, of Albuquerque, N.M.; daughter-in-law, Amy Lauderdale, of McKinney, Texas; sister-in-law, Sarah Lauderdale, of Trinidad, Calif.; dear friends, Tony and Hilarie Dzianott, of Hot Springs, Ark.; and a host of family and friends who love Fran and will miss her always.
