‘Thanks’ from Jazz Society

-

Dear editor: The Hot Springs Jazz Society is grateful to the generous sponsors and volunteers who assisted in the success of “Dinner & Jazz at the Landing” on June 10 at Catherine’s Landing.

Catherine’s Landing was a gracious host and collaborator on this event intended to raise funds to send Arkansas high school music students to the University of Arkansas in Monticello’s summer jazz camp while bringing jazz lovers together.

Also generous were those who contributed to the spaghetti dinner that was served by chef extraordinaire Bob Shook and his amazing team. Those sponsors include Olive Garden, Arkansas Beverage Distributors, Post Winery, Coca-Cola Bottling Co., Rocky’s Corner, Ron Hall, and Richard and Nancy Jorgensen.

And, of course, we could not have achieved the success the evening accomplished without the hard work of volunteers who offered their time and expertise: Lynn Janaskie, Kimberly Hillestad, Vicki Crisp, Shirley Chauvin, Frank Janaskie, Preston Hillestad, Tram Nobles, Jason Nobles, Alyssa Nobles, Mai Nobles, Khai Nobles, Dylan Nguyen, Kathy Sachs, Mike Hood, Bob Doyle, Bob Brown, Ann Becker, Bob Dion, Tom & Julie Walewski, Kim Porter, and Deanna Henry.

What a great team to come together and create a fun evening enjoying the wild combination of spaghetti and jazz. Gretchen Taylor Hot Springs Jazz Society Executive director
