Beehive Neighborhood Hangout receives Arkansas Made designation
HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE — In recognition of their commitment to using local ingredients in their menu, the Arkansas Agriculture Department has accepted the Beehive Neighborhood Hangout into its Arkansas Made program highlighting restaurants around the state with a deep local commitment to Arkansas producers.
Since 2014, the Arkansas Made program has succeeded in encouraging the purchase of locally made products and creating a community of producers and buyers that call Arkansas home.
“The Beehive is committed to purchasing as much from local producers as possible,” said Ben Dodson, executive chef. “We modify our menu almost monthly to take advantage of the fresh, locally produced ingredients that we can use in our fresh, shareable plates.”
“The Beehive has been purchasing our Arkansas Wagyu beef since they opened back in February,” said Brett Ausley, owner of Ausley Family Farms in Bismarck. “It’s been a great relationship and I can certainly see their commitment to using locally sourced products in their menu.”
The Beehive Neighborhood Hangout is an upscale gastropub located at 220 Minorca Road in Hot Springs Village. Open late with fresh, shareable plates, the Beehive is known as “The Place to Bee,” a news release said.
