A cowardly way

-

Dear editor:

Let me make sure I understand. We should be so afraid of MS-13, a gang in California, that we should all look the other way when our government rips babies from their migrant parent’s arms? Not just that, but miles of separation and no way to see or communicate with

them? Not for the purpose of securing our safety, but to terrorize anyone who looks to us for asylum from horrible situations?

Why the sudden cowardice? We have lived alongside neighbors from every country in the world for my whole lifetime and the police have been able to keep the unruly ones held to the peace the whole time. I’m a veteran and at my side were people of many countries, all as proud to be at my side as I was to be at theirs. We weren’t scared.

What a cowardly way to go about things.

Hey, Asa Hutchinson, what do you think? Are our National Guard planes used to kidnap the babies to faraway places? Hey, Tom Cotton — I saw you speaking to that guy in the White House on TV. You looked weak, as if you were afraid of making him mad. And that thing he signed, turns out it does nothing. You do know that Arkansans you represent wish you would have at least hinted that kidnapping babies is wrong?

Hey, Trump voters! Did you think that the white supremacists working in the White House do not reflect on you? You ever notice there are no lighter colored children being kidnapped? There’s a smell you may not have noticed, but it surrounds you. Maybe we can get the children returned to their parents, I don’t know. Maybe you think you’ll be forgiven for not renouncing this terrorist action by our government. Maybe you think this stink of racism will fade in time. Sorry, but this Trump-stank is gonna be with you forever. Don Tankersley Hot Springs
