Lighten up

-

Dear editor:

In the Monday, June 25, letter entitled, “Not a police state,” Judy Ladd’s denigrating diatribe against President Trump really shows her true colors methinks.

You’re right, ladybug, ours isn’t a “police state,” albeit we were sure headed in that deplorable direction over the past eight years; just look at the resident of the Oval Office and the swamp at the FBI and DOJ, to cite just three examples! President Trump has a l-o-n-g way to go to measure up to what dirty politics transpired under Barack Hussein Obama and his partner in crime H.R.C. — it’s really all coming out in the wash now, so to speak, isn’t it? The former person vowed “to fundamentally change America” — remember that, Judy? Now that’s “police state” tactics! As for H.R.C. and ol’ Bill, well, the facts speak for themselves there.

Ya know, Ms. Judy, as I’ve said before, ad hominem attacks on another person say more about you than they say about the person you choose to attack. Why do you allow yourself to stoop so low? And in print, no less! Remember, “we always see in others those traits that exist within ourselves.” Try seeing the good in others as a means of discovering some good in yourself at a deeper level.

So, lighten up, sweetie. It’s a heck of a lot healthier for you — think blood pressure and heart rate, for example. Now sit back … relax … and take a few deep breaths; think calm … peaceful … happy thoughts. Now … doesn’t that feel better, Judy? How about the rest of you dear liberals out there?

Being hateful and mean-spirited aren’t who you want us to think you are, Judy — do you?
