HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE — Ann Marie Blankenshi­p, 68, of Hot Springs Village, passed away on July 11, 2018.

She was born on Aug. 9, 1949, in Ames, Iowa, to the late Hugh and Mona Ivis.

She is survived by her husband, David Blankenshi­p; and her siblings, Carol Newton and Richard Ivis.

ARKADELPHI­A — Sarah McChorn, age 81, of Arkadelphi­a, formerly of Hot Springs, died Friday, July 20, 2018.

Gerline Reynolds

MALVERN — Gerline Reynolds, age 69, of Malvern, died Wednesday, July 18, 2018, in Little Rock.

She was born in Weona, Ark., on Jan. 30, 1949, to the late Jess W. Reynolds and Opal Duvall Reynolds. Moving with her family to Malvern at the age of 2, she was a graduate of Malvern High School. She worked with her mother, who owned H&H Snack Bar in downtown Malvern and would deliver meals to the local businesses along Main Street. For 23 years, Gerline volunteere­d at Libby’s R.O.S.E., where she made many friends. She had attended South Main Missionary Baptist Church and was currently attending The Church of Faith. Gerline was blessed with a true spirit of giving and had a generous heart. A member of the Malvern Moose Lodge and the Community Service League, she was also very adept at needlework and embroidery. She always remembered birthdays of those close to her and would always acknowledg­e them in some way, either by a phone call or a card.

Gerline is survived by her siblings, Lodean Goff, of Hot Springs, Wanda Byrd and Lotherene Holmes, both of Malvern, and William Reynolds and his wife, Vikki, of Hot Springs; 19 nieces and nephews, and numerous great-nieces and -nephews. She also leaves behind an especially close longtime friend, Mac Rhodes.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Donna Reynolds Cotham; and a brother, James W. Reynolds.

The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. today, July 21, 2018, in the chapel of J.A. Funk Funeral Home with Brother Scott Efird officiatin­g. The eulogy will be delivered by Gerline’s nephew, Rick Goff. LaDonna Harper is vocalist.

A visitation will be from 2 p.m. until service time in the funeral home chapel.
